It took me about 50-60 minutes gentle bicycle ride to reach this place from an area near Tobu department store, Suehiro, Otawara City. It's a very beautiful and relaxing place and if you appreciate the architecture of these places you'll love this place. It's not the largest of places but there's a lot to see if you take your time!
I stopped by the sign on the national highway. If you are driving, the road is quite narrow and it can be difficult to pass each other, so please drive carefully.
It is spacious and well-maintained, and after visiting the main hall, I went around the Kannon statue.
There is a small waterfall of Ryujin in the back, and we enjoyed a moment of coolness on a summer afternoon. The restrooms inside the building are very clean.
Unfortunately, I was not able to receive a stamp.
There is Okunoin Temple about 200m away, and the appearance of this place is very nice.
This is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect located in Numanodawa, Nasu-Shiobara City. The principal image is Fudo Myoo. It is said to have been founded in the first year of Daido (806) by Kobo Daishi Kukai. It is said to be famous for the "Fire Festival" held every year on June 28th, which is the Nakiri Fudoson Festival. The precincts seemed to be quite spacious and well-maintained, and the six Jizo statues looked so cute. I was grateful to receive the stamp of ``Nakiri Fudoson.''
■20220628 I visited the annual fire festival. I was late, and the second parking lot was full ( ̄▽ ̄), so I parked on the street a little further away. The event progresses while reciting the mantra of Fudo Myoo.
A fire festival held on June 28th every year. It was canceled due to the coronavirus, but it will resume in 2022👍It was a shame that there was no mochi-throwing at the end, but I felt refreshed as I listened to the sutra while watching the burning fire. At the end, anyone can also try walking over the fire 🎵 …
I visited the Northern Kanto Thirty-Six Fudoson Sacred Sites. The temple grounds are spacious and have many attractions, including Rokujizo statues, Kannon statues, and Fudo statues. There is also Okunoin Jizo-do Hall a little further away.
We received a goshuin stamp, tea and sweets. thank you.
We also received a pamphlet about the fire festival. It is said to be held on June 28th every year. If you are interested, please visit our homepage.
I stopped by because I had time before getting on the Shinkansen.
As soon as you enter, you will see a gorgeous Kannon statue, and there is also a golden dragon god in the back.
Even if you are not familiar with shrines and temples, I thought it was worth seeing.
There was a rare stone called Mingun Star, so I checked my birthday, touched the part that matched, and prayed.
It's a beautiful building overall, so it might not be suitable for people who like retro buildings, but it seems like it's a very auspicious place, so it might be good for girls who like fortune telling.
There were some kind young chief priests.
I heard that there is a famous festival there, so I was curious.
The 23rd temple of the 36 Fudoson Sacred Sites in the Northern Kanto region.
One of the three sacred sites in Kanto.
Although the main hall is small, the precincts with the waterfall are very spacious.
There are many sights to see.
I asked for a goshuin, and they responded very nicely.
Parking lot and public toilet available.
